Boy Scout Troop 742 was chartered in 1958 by Providence United Methodist Church, in Towson, MD. We are in the Dulaney District which resides in the Baltimore Area Council. Our troop meets at 7:30 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month, September through July, at Providence United Methodist Church at 1318 Providence Rd, Towson, MD.
Troop Committee meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30pm at the church. The troop camps one weekend per month, attends Boy Scout Summer Camp every July, and every other year our Scouts may go on a High Adventure trip. Troop 742 goals are to offer a challenging and enjoyable program of outdoor skills, such as camping, hiking, backpacking, and canoeing, plus citizenship and community service opportunities.
