Troop 742’s September Camping Trip was spent two nights away beginning Friday at the Baltimore County Sailing Center and night 2 across the Chesapeake Bay on Hart Miller Island.
The Philmont Crews have returned after two weeks on the trails of the Philmont Scout Ranch.
After hiking 65-plus miles through the mountainous terrain of Philmont Scout Reservation, the crews returned– a little tired, a little sore, but with smiles, stories, photos, and great memories. The two crews covered two different areas of the region. One went north, the other went south.
The Scouting experience is about learning new things, discovering new talents, and having fun. With customizable profiles and interactive features, Scoutbook puts the excitement of advancement into the hands of the Scout. They can share their success with friends and family as they progress through the program.
After 18 months of planning and training, the scouts of Troop 742 are now headed to Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico. They will break into two crews – one crew will hike north, the other south – but each will hike at least 65 miles over the course of two weeks.
